If there is a "site owner" that claims to be the author, please let me
know who they are by e-mail, web form (see below) or via this forum so
I can contact them. It's not useful to handle such discussions via an
intermediary.

FYI, I have ample proof that I wrote the script. For instance, see
http://www.ntbugtraq.com/default.asp...O=D&F=N&P=1677
If that link wraps, use this: http://************/yorvy6

The origin of my script is also found on my web site:
http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_thescript.html

Of course, I also maintain a full development archive, including
extensive e-mail correspondence with other malware fighters, in case I
ever need to prove ownership in a court of law.

Again, please let me know how to contact "the site owner where [you]
got it from" so I can discuss this issue. I will make the same request
to them that I have made to you: please respect my terms of use.

>They also do not charge for removal.

My script is free. My personal intervention to disinfect individual PC
systems is not free. If my intervention was free, I would be swamped
with requests -- my disinfection method has not yet failed. All this
is clearly explained on my web site.

>If you are who you say you are then verify it or the link goes back up.

I have _not_ posted anonymously here, so feel free to contact me via
e-mail. (The e-mail address is in my signature.) My web site is also
available to contact me:
http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_contact.html

>Out of respect I took it down

I appreciate the fact that you are respecting my terms of use.

>It's a nice script

Thanks. It helps a lot of people. That's why I'm happy to make it
available for free, provided my terms of use are respected.

>if you wrote it I will give you credit publicly

My script has already received such recognition:
http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_press.html

Of course, additional recognition is always appreciated.

regards, Andy
