Found Hooks, Now What?

I have been experiencing losing my browser after about 30 minutes. I run IE and Firefox and this happens on both. I cleaned everything up, minimilized my start menu, updated Java, ran Norton 2006, uninstalled it, ran HJT, Ad-Aware, SpyBot S&D, CCleaner, and BitDefender which found Trojan Conhook.P and reported it cleaned and deleted. I thought that was it,but no, same problem, just downloaded Resplendence and it found 2 hooks. Neither one show where they are, NtTerminate Process OxF9872812, guard.sys. and NtOpen Process, OxF98798AC, guard.sys. I don't know what to do now. I want to go into safe mode, am wireless, should I disconnect while I do this? Any ideas how to find these files? I upgraded Firefox to the new 2. a few days ago but didn't work as smooth as 1.5 so uninstalled and intalled 1.5 with the Google Toolbar and Search stuff. Works much better when it works

Can you run all those programs again, in SAFE MODE in this order; CCleaner, Norton 2006, Ad-Aware, SpyBot S&D. Have each program fix everything found.
Then reboot to NORMAL mode and run HiJackThis. Don't fix anything with it, SAVE THE LOG.
Post the log here.
