    I've used both.

I ran SSweeper5 for some months but got concerned because its regular
sweeps invariably failed to find ANY threats.

When I ran SWDoctor on my PC for the first time it found dozens of
threats (most minor though a few were significant), the removal of
which appeared to fix some longstanding (though relatively minor)
    broken features.

SWDr seems very aggressive, and in at least one case its fixes caused
a significant problem on one of my PCs.

That's because SS only finds *real* threats.

I tried out SW Doctor and did NOT like the way it thrashed about in the
background. It is now disabled, and will go the way of the trash bin.
Never tried the other one......prefer "safe hex".
