    adaware SE & 2007

    Hello all

I have adaware 2007 on my system, as it runs a service that the older SE
version did not, & consumes about 28MB of ram is it worth going back to the
SE version? Also the anti malware capabilities are they the same? Finally
where can I download the SE version from?

    tia

All of the versions are there right up to 6.1. I am staying with the SE
version and mine is updating and working just fine.

Same here I took the 2007 version off and put the SE version back on and
    I'm much happier.

All you have to do is disable the service when you are not using it and
enable it again when you do use it. The reason it runs as a service now I
expect is to get around Vista's security levels.

Replying for N on his behalf.

Which version on http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=adaware do I
    download? Is it Ad-aware 6.1 (2 MB)?

I have been all over, in and about my version of AdAware and No Where
does it give a number like "6.1"......but frankly I would download that
one simply because it is the latest on the Old Version List.

Aha.....let me check one more place. Ok, the year old version I have in
my Download Folder is Version 1.0.6.0 and is 2.7 meg. So that sounds
    about right.
