Since when did "need" start factoring into computer hardware purchases. Sheesh, if we had to factor in "need" everytime we bought a computer part F1 would have never been able to give us the Death Star Mainframe. (can't find anymore links to it). Wonder if F1 dismantled it because of the "rolling black outs" it caused a few years back?
As usual, I welcome all things silicon (and silicone for that matter) especially if they are bigger, smoother and faster.![]()

cool!
One ugly@ss video card! I was right when I said about a year ago that the video cards of the future would need their own PSU for a functional, stable system...
If you need to double-up or even triple-up on a technology, that pretty much means that technology needs to be upgraded altogether.
This card would be a stupid investement if it is not going to be full DirectX 10 compatible...![]()
And they just recalled all of them do to bad capacitors
It is released, no cap problems, and DirectX 10 compliant.

Go ahead and cite me a REPUTABLE report that shows that the production model released today has bad caps AND that they were recalled.
Since the cards were just released today they would have to really be crappy to have bad caps already.
You might be referring to a Pre-Production or reference card, not the final retail product.
My bad it was resistors here ya go http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=4253
No offense, but PWNED.
