How to rid of SuperAntiSpyware completely?

About 6 months ago I uninstalled SuperAntiSpyware from my PC (Win XP,
SP2). The Add/Remove entry is no longer there.

However I now discover that the SAS directory is still in 'Programs
Files' directory, including 'Superantispyware.exe' plus a host of other
    stuff, including something called SASSEH.DLL.

How do I get completely rid of this sticky?

(I have seen 're-install then uninstall' being suggested, but I cannot
even remeber which version was originally installed. I'm sure there have
    been updates since.)

    Thanks for any advice

You can uninstall via the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs - if there
is a problem, re-install and then immediately uninstall.
at the bottom says reinstall then uninstall.

since there are shreds left somewhere in your PC, win installer or what
you do use should say version of it.

if nothing works still, go to safemode and try.
that usually does it for me.

    See below.

Did you notice where occam said "The Add/Remove entry is no longer
    there."?

Did you notice where occam said "(I have seen 're-install then
uninstall' being suggested," and that he no longer has the program? What
    version should he download?

Where is this located on his OS?

Actually, since occam did use Add/Remove Programs, I would simply delete
the directory "C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware" and move on. I might
suggest running a registry cleaner, but those can be dangerous in
    inexperienced hands.

Well, that's what I tried to do (delete the directory) -- but I got a
severe sounding warning that SASSEH.DLL 'could not be deleted as it was
    protected or in use'.

Eventually, I re-installed the latest version of SAS -- since the
program does not require previous versions to be uninstalled first.
    Uninstalling straight after worked.

CCleaner cleaned some 29 obsolete registry entries, and that was that.

    Thanks
