    BugHunter Signature Update 07.24.2007

BugHunter (A DOS based MalWare Removal Tool) has been updated!

You can find the program here:
    http://bughunter.it-mate.co.uk

Information about the new signatures can be found here:
    http://bughunter.it-mate.co.uk/NEWSIG.TXT

A partial listing of the malware known to BugHunter can be found here:
    http://bughunter.it-mate.co.uk/PARTLIST.TXT

This update does contain a bugfix for the BugHunter scanning engine. Some
of you may have had problems with BugHunter reporting a problem with it's
signature files and refusing to run. In those cases, the usual problem
was the signature files (BUGSIG.X) were set as read-only, and/or located
specifically on read-only media. BugHunter does not require write access
to these files. This binary update packaged with the new signature
release should clear this issue up. I'm unsure how long this has been an
issue, but it's been resolved at this point. Those of you using it from
the ultimate boot disc are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this
    version.

On the 13th of this month, I erroneously added 9 signatures for
Adware.Bluecollarpc.net toolbar, after re-evaluating it, those signatures
were removed as of 07-22-2007, and apologies have been sent to the
    bluecollarpc.net site administrator.

I note that Dustbin's PayPal begging
has become more prominent for his
    malware cobbled together crap.

Would anyone like to have a guess how
many megabucks $$$ he's taken so far?

My guess is that Jomama Lamo has donated
all his/her pocket money, so Dustbin
    is definately a $5air

I will comment on Jomama on Monday. I was asked not to say anything until
    then.

Your kidding me right? Please show me one post where I have begged for
    any donations. LoL.

If it was something I thought you or anyone else should know, I'd publish
those details on the site. Since you don't see them published, you want
to take a wild guess as to what the reason might be? LoL.

BugHunter is doing fine, actually. Thanks for your concern, however.

    Money. The greatest motivation.

I donated 2,000 Vietnamese Dongs! (Dongs are the "currency" preferred
by DustLo0n from his days as a guest of the state. "Growth" potential
and all, right, Dusty? Equine Dongs offer even greater growth.)

BugHunter is a fantastic product. I install it on every PC I have
access [to]. Keep it on a USB key. Such a good and tightly uber-
    coded, uh,

If anyone asks why this is on their PC, I say "Just wait, you will be
rewarded at some future date". Especially so now that over 1487
hapless users have downloaded it from Softpedia.

*yawn*. BugHunter has a much larger userbase actually. The nice folks
over at ultimatebootcd have seen fit to include it on the iso for that
cdrom. Countless individuals now happily make use of my program.

I have people like you to thank for it, without the publicity efforts put
forth by yourself and 4Q, BugHunter wouldn't be nearly as well known
(yet) as it is now. I've even got the url printed on my business cards,
and it's very well liked in this area too. Thanks again fellas.

And despite what you wish was true, your half assed claim of something
extra in the future still doesn't hold water. 2 years (almost 3 now,
guys) and counting, nothing malicious. More users happily using the
program, good for me, bad for you.

Just when I thought you actually might prove us all wrong, you have to go
and do silly things like this... LoL. Ah well. I must learn to set my
standards for some lower I suppose.

I do have a tiny amount of advice for you tho, I wouldn't rely too much
on 4Q to help you out. He was offly interested in having our disagreement
dragged out in a courtroom. IE: He's not looking out for your interests.

C'mon, the guy is late to the threads and assumed a fight was still going
on. As usual, he doesn't actually know wtf he's talking about.
