Thread: skip doubleclick?

    skip doubleclick?

Sometimes clicking on a link will first go to doubleclick and then go to the
real link. Is there a way to skip doubleclick and go to the real link?

Just putting doubleclick on a 127.0.0.1 in the hosts file line seems to
cause all links involving doubleclick to stop working.

The mvps.org hosts file works great. Everyone should use it, and modify it
by adding additional links that become a nuisance.

One reason I like the mvps hosts file so much, is because it does "cause all
links involving doubleclick to stop working," just like you said. LOL!

You could note the real link, and type it into the location bar
manually. Or, copy and paste it from the page's source.

Then the hosts file is doing its assigned job.

Thanks for not supporting Doubleclick. ;-)

It shouldn't be too hard to create a tiny server on local PC (or on the web)
to simulate doubleclick so that instead of breaking the link entirely, it
would forward me to the real link without going thru doubleclick. This would
be more convenient than copy and paste. Surely someone must have done this
    already?
