    bit defender versus norton

I have been using Norton System Works for several years wit with good
results. My only complain is that it slows down the PC a lot. My
subscription just expired, and was told that Bit Defender does better job
than Norton protecting from malicious programs.
    My question is:
do I have to completely uninstall Norton before using Bit Defender and is it
really good idea to switch? Does it conflict with other spyware protection
software like Lavasoft Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy Webroot spy Sweeper
    etc...?
    Thanks for the input.

Yes. Completely remove Norton System Works prior to installing BitDefender (assuming it is
    NOT BitDefender Free v8).

It will coexist with the anti spyware you listed.
