What you are complaining about it designed behavior. You need to ask
yourself why the files are in the TEMP folder. It might also be helpful if
you'd give us the complete pathname of the TEMP folder we're talking about.
Start with the c: and give us the rest of it please.

Sorry, I'm not used to the web based ng. Using a news reader like OE
seem to be more pleasant. Take entirely for message to be displayed,
and doesn't work sometimes at all.#

Thank's for the replies anyway. I know there was some malicious
software downloaded to my hard drive, I want to get rid of. That's
    all.

This isn't a web based newsgroup. OK, you're using GoogleGroups but
    you can use OE instead.

Unless you've no firewall, no AV and no internet security, then it's
highly unlikely to be malicious software that's causing the files to
    disappear.

A TEMP folder is just that, TEMPorary. Windows is designed so that
files in the TEMP folder are deleted on shutdown. There's absolutely
    nothing you can do about it unless you want to rewrite the software;
in which case you'd be better off using a flavour of Linux that will
allow you to keep files in the TEMP folder if you write the
appropriate code. You can run every known reliable malware program
known to man and computer but you won't stop the TEMP folder from
being emptied on shutdown when that's what is supposed to happen.

If you want to keep your video files, you need to store them in a
different place or you will keep losing them.

Have you done a search to see if they are actually somewhere else on
your PC? It's quite possible they are, unless you've not saved them
to a specific place - other than the TEMP folder, of course.

Thanks again. The files seem to be deleted only scince a short time
    ago. Previously not.

You're talking Windows - it has a mind of its own.

Taking the computer to a hospital asking for stationary treatment (two
    to
three weeks ) was arguably the better way. Thanks!

I did solve the problem. No idea how. Deleting Internet Explorer
    files, I
would say, was then solution. Deleting files off the Temp folder self
    helps
    sometimes as well..

Thank you many times. Have a nice day folks,
    Steve
