You have the pay for version? The free version offers no realtime
protection so nothing from SAS should be running.

OK, Process Explorer showed nothing running from SAS but StartUp List
2.01 shows me two .dll files from SAS hooking into explorer.exe.
SASCTXMN.DL and SASSEH.DLL. Doing a bit of searchiong I come across
    comments like the below.

Doesn't uninstall correctly doesn't deserve any stars!

Pros: Other then that there's a free version..NONE!

Cons: If you install this program you should be warned that if when
you decide it's rubbish and decide to uninstall it, you cannot delete
SASCTXMN.DLL which will be located in your program files in the
    superantispyware folder.

Some antispyware and security sites consider this DLL to be a trojan,
although it seems to not bother my pc in anyway it's just annoying.

    This program seems below average.

Use a better free antispyware program like spybot, Lavasoft or Pareto
    for a good shareware product.

    ---------------------------------------------------

I expect SAS needs these .dll's for some reason so I will turn off the
Comodo component monitor as I expect that is what is causing the
    issue.

Hmm, anyone know what this is about? Hopefully the author of SAS can
come along and explain it. The below is listed under Autostart in the
Gmer rootkit revealer. Castlecops says it is legit bit I want to know
    what it does.

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\ >>>
    !SASWinLogon@DLLName = C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SASWINLO.dll

I found it not more than fair to pay for software that nice.

I used to run BOClean from NSClean and had no problems. Now that I find
that Comodo has taken over the product, I installed BOClean 4.23 from
Comodo, and find that it is slower (certainly in fetching signature updates
from the server) than BOClean 4.22 was. We'll see what happens over time.
I don't recall that either version ever found anything on my system.

I don't know what Commodo or Comodo software you are talking about. Can
you be more specific? It seems this company has collected some other
companies' products and is reselling them in a rebranded fashion. My only
real experience is with BOClean malware protection, with the caveat that I
have not had any problems or alerts from it. Either I have never had the
need to have its protection, or it has been so transparently efficient that
    I was protected.

On this machine I use a company version of symantec AV and firewall
provided free to me as part of my employment. On another machine, my
spouse ases AVG free AV and zonealarm free. Of course ZA has its quirks
that one learns to live with.

Comodo is a firewall. I donb't like Symantec as their products hijack
your PC. I've had problems with ZoneAlarm in the past too. Usually I
use an old version of Kerio but it is vulnerable to fragmented packets
so thought I would try something more recent.

My confusion was because Comodo now has a lot of different software,
including a firewall, AV, and antimalware. I onmly have the antimalware
(formerly BOClean from NSClean, now Comodo BOClean).

BOClean was by Kevin (and Nancy) and now Kevein is employed by Comodo and it s now a Comodo
    product.

An attempt to strengthen their product lines.

That's our winlogon handler, it's used to remove hard to detect/remove
spyware/malware. Nothing in SUPERAntiSpyware is harmful.
