I don't feel victimized. I feel like I've extricated myself from a trap.

Not long ago, I was non-functional. It was even difficult for me to go
out of the house, because I was so used to being interrogated about my
whereabouts every time I did go out of the house.

Now I go out every day, because I don't have to answer to anyone.
