    Spylock

I have a little thing blinking in the bottom right corner of my monitor....
when I try to get rid of it my Internet Explorer opens up to a website
    trying to sell spyware.
When I click on Internet explorer myself, it goes to that website. No
    matter
where my 'home page' is set.
It is called spylock. It was somehow installed on my computer
    yesterday..???
I uninstalled it and it is not in the population of programs. I still have
    the
same problem. Can't find it to uninstall it but it is still there blinking
    away.
I ran two different programs to get rid of it, but it won't go away.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Here is another kink with complete disclosure of the installation:

    SpyLocked == SpywareLocked

I went to both websites, bought their software...ran
the software....both programs (Spybot and Spy doctor) found hundreds
of "infections" and cleaned/deleted them....I still have the same problem.

What software did you buy? Who told you to buy it?

It's sad to see people so obliviously making money for criminals.

The fellow went to this website where there is full disclosure of the
    SpyLocked malware application:

Remove SpyLocked. Description and removal instructions
    http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-spylocked.html

At this website you can either manually remove the malware piece after
piece - or to even check files and registry keys to even see iof
indeed it is the exact infection you suspect. If you do not know how -
or have never performed a manual uninstall of software or malware,
then this would make no sense.

There is another button at this website that offers to remove malware
which indeed is the link to the download of PC Tools SpyDoctor. This
is apparently where this person and what this person had purchased. It
is no rip off as the PC Tools SpyDoctor is a very well known and used
antispyware program with very good reviews and is at least in the top
ten if not top five running. In other words the person was not duped
into a phony purchase of phony software - it was legit.

And offers nothing that the real authors code doesn't offer, oh, and the
real authors code is not pirated from some that is unethical.
