    Which Security Suite?

I currently use Zone Alarm Security Suite, but it seems to be causing me
memory problems. I get an "out of memory due to vsmon.exe" which is part of
the ZA program. I have 2 gigs of memory, so should have enough and it is
set correctly in WinXP. Now to the question. Is Norton any better? I used
to use it 3 or 4 years ago, but it was a real resource hog, but I think I
read that it has improved. Any comments or any other security suite that is
    better?

    Don't use a "suite".
    Use stand alone products.
NOD32, SuperAdBlocker(to name two that I use myself)
I still use Sygate firewall (free version) on my systems(W2K,XP) Some
say Comodo works well but I have yet to try it out.
Friends don't let friends use Norton.

OK, I change my question. Is a suite better than separate programs? If the
separate parts are better, which ones work well with each other? If the
suite is better, which one of those work well?

I prefer separate programs myself. Most suites I've come into contact with
seem bloated and want to keep a dozen damned things running in the
    background.

I've never actually seen Zone Alarm's suite in operation. I've come across
McAffe incarnations and invaribly there is some problem with it by the time
I see it. They also seem to be a mortal pain to remove, thought I can't
vouch for the fact they were installed correctly in the first place, since
I'd never do such a thing.

I did use Norton Antivirus back in 2001 2002 when they used to be shipped
with certain motherboards I used, but by this late date Norton products
remind me of the old redneck saying aound my location. It seems like you're
tyring to cut a fat hog in the ass every time you deal with Norton.

For personal use I like Sygate's firewall, avast, and SuperAitiSpyware. If
you use Outlook Express, you should go now and turn off its ability to
render html email messages and turn off the "preview pane" - if you don't
use it you are probably even better off, though I'm not sure since I do use
it with no problems. I'd probably quit that but it is more accessibility
friendly than anything else I've tried and I have low vision.
