I posted about a week ago because my AOL Spyware search found the
subject keystroke logger on my computer. I really appreciate the
responses. I have spent the last several days going to the various
websites that were recommended to me by others on the group, but I
continue to run in dead ends.
I could ask AOL to delete the keystroke logger, but I really would
like to know when it was put on my machine, and I do not know how to
do this. I am afraid to 'onblock' the logger, because it may send out
confidential banking information from my family to the villain that
stuck it on my machine.
Thanks especially to 'Andy' for all of these references. I have gone
to most of them - some are over my head and some have not been much
help, but I am continuing to learn more. I would still like to know
what files are on my computer as a result of this keystroke logger and
find out when
they were placed there.
Is there any way at all that an entry-level to mid-level (at best)
user can find out? I am considering downloading the logger from the
company website to see what it does to my machine, but I hate to have
to purchase the darn thing - and then when it is on my machine, I am
not sure I can get it back off again... Advice is once more,
appreciated.
