    Cyberdefenderfree

Does anyone know if this is spyware? I know it has ads in it but every
spyware scanner I own doesn't like the toolbar.

And asquared identified the whole app.

    Thanks

Its called a false positive and you should complain to asquared -
spybot also falsely identifies the application

Having Ads does not make the program spyware - Eudora did the same
thing with an ad supported application.
CyberDefender supports giving this product away by supporting it with
ads - they also have a verison for $12 that works the same way - with
    no ads.
Browsers also support their apps with ads - such as google ads or
    yahoo ads -

The company has been reviewed by PC Magazine, USA Today and others

    Its just a new company

    while.

The company has a history of using deceptive methods to "sell" their
products, including unauthorized loading of programs and adware
advertising. I would not trust them as far as I could throw them.

SpywareWarrior has decided to delist them from the rogue/suspect list,
    but given their dirty history...
