    Firefox security

Tried Firefox again and it now runs on my PC. However, my knowledge of its
security and steps that need to be taken to ensure it doesn't open me up to
malware is scant. Can someone recommend a site that gives a good overview?
The following site gives an overview that says, "trust FF", its makers
promise it is secure (hmm, sounds familiar) but, I need to know a little
move about any changes that would allow attacks and any recommended
programs. For example, do I still keep using Winpatrol, Snoopfree, Ad-aware,
    spybot, spywareblaster, etc?

I have used Firefox for a couple of years and still use the last 3 you
list. Habit, I suppose. The *head guru* on here for FF is my good
friend Beauregard T. Shagnasty.....and he will be able to answer any and
    all questions.

And no, he doesn't pay me for recommending him.....LOL!!

I recommend running the FF extension (add-on) called
NoScript. This will keep you quite safe.

Initially you'll have to tell it what to allow - and you'll
always have to consider allowing something temporarily when
a site doesn't work. BUT - when the latest hole in FF was
discovered, and I ran a test for it, NoScript successfully
    protected me.

Thank you. I now have NoScript installed.
