Indeed. I really don't know anyone in Vx who would design these lame
    trojans. It's unthinkable!

I applaud you for not dropping names David. You are obviously entrusted
with the information you have, intended for no one except yourself.

Some of the proof you seek has already been made available to you. I'm
afraid in this case, I would be with David. You can either accept the
post David made, or not. Dropping names doesn't help anyone, and isn't
worth proving someone right/wrong on usenet.

No burden. You either believe it or you don't. As I said, as 4Q continues
to tell you, vx.netlux.org is your friend. If you still need to know
things aside from names, then ask.

Thank you for noticing. I really have tried to be as honest as possible
    with everyone.

And even then, not for long. Many antimalware sites have warnings
concerning PcButts. It's impossible for someone not to hit one of these
sites in his/her quest for a cure.

dropping names may not help anyone, but the claim that has been made
hurts the entire industry and hurts consumers... it feeds a rumor that
has no right to be unless it's true... do you think people will continue
to be as rational in their av decisions as they currently are if they
start believing rumors of such funny business behind the scenes in the
av industry? that's not to say that they are perfectly rational, of
course, but such rumors will almost certainly exacerbate their
    irrationality...

since this isn't something that can be disproved, since you can't prove
a negative, the only way to fight the rumor is to challenge it... if the
rumor is true then it should be provable... if no one is willing to
prove it then that should count for something at least...

i considered responding to 4q but decided it would probably qualify as
feeding trolls... since you brought it up to i will say it here -
pointing to a domain does not satisfy the burden of proof in any way...
point to a *document* or don't waste my time, it's not my job to sift
through an entire domain looking for someone else's alleged proof...

if you think this is just to satisfy my whims then you are gravely

not true... if the claim is proven true then the ensuing lack of
confidence in the av industry is justified... if not then there is no
justification for it but it will happen all the same with such a rumor
picking up steam from people considered to be authorities on the subject...

no, no, not that they make viruses, but that they reward virus
writers... just as john mcafee paying for viruses rewarded virus
writers, other av vendors hiring them also rewards them...

no part of my argument has been based on vx'ers being easy to describe,
or being described at all for that matter...

you don't hire ex-arsonists to be firemen, you don't hire
ex-bank-robbers to be bank managers, and you don't hire ex-virus-writers
to work on anti-virus products... it's not about whether they're really
reformed or not, it's about perception and trust...

    *sounds bad* *HAHAHAHA*

As some people will know I posted a picture of Raid on the 4Q site
many years ago... Raid saw it and laughed. "Yeah that's me" It was a
trailerpark bandit with a gun, but ya must admit loads of people
really thought it was *our* Raidy.

I posted a picture of John Buccanon (aka Aristotle of NuKE) and
painted a sniper rifle cross-hair on it... People laughed and said
"yeah that's how I imagined him to look... what trailerpark site did
you get this one from?" *Errrm* It's not a trailerpark guy, that his
real picture! *HAHAHAHA* Then I lost my coderz account for publishing
    his mugshot!!! *grrrrr*

What people failed to realize is that John (Ari) gave me his photo's
and permission to print them on the 4Q site. Some people were too
quick to jump the gun and shoot me down.

Along with the Raid and Aristotle pics was another ugly mugshot for
Evul, the owner of Coderz.net (just how I imagined him)... Years
later Evul gave me his real mugshot complete with middle finger salute
*HAHAHAHAHA* What an ugly guy, looks like Trackers boyfriend 'Beef'
    complete with prison tats *ROFL*

    ......

So what is Raidy gonna look like?
    *laughing already*

    Lack of confidence!

Rob Rosenberger has been informing people about the AV addiction scam
for years, yet people haven't lost their confidence in the av ripoff
industry yet. Nothing is going to convince the ignorant punters how
much they are being duped by this money making cartel. For ****s sake
people are still being taken in with the "you are protected from
100,000+ virus" ****! because people can't make reasonable risk
assessment of the real problems when they have fat av marketing clowns
like Graham Cluely hyping things to the max.

99% of that virus database can be dismissed right away... Let them
dare tell the truth, their share holders won't let them. ;]]

Kurt this example makes you look like a stupid ****. You've already
libeled Benny by calling him a reformed bad-guy. You could hardly make
the analogy that a talented programmer with an interest in security
and proof of concept like Benny is the likes of some mental ex-
    arsonist.
