Louise,
I have seen posts from many people who are using Comodo with KAV 6. To
my knowledge, there is nothing special required. Many of the KAV
installations work best, however, if KAV 6 is installed with only the
WinXP FW enabled, and no other PFW installed. After KAV is up and
running, then a third-party FW can be successfully installed. More FW
info:

To my knowledge, Sygate is the only PFW that will not work (for many
people) with KAV 6, and no one will look into it because Sygate is a
dead product. IIRC, some people have reported problems with AVS and
Kerio 2.1.5. I have used Jetico, S-K PFW 4.3, and the WinXP SP2 FW
with KAV 5 and KAV 6 with no problems. I have also used AVS, virtually
identical to KAV 6. Comodo is next on my list to evaluate.
If you decide to evaluate KAV, I suggest that you get a free 30-day
license for the suite (KIS).

You can then use the KIS installer and license to install and evaluate
anything that you want, including only KAV. You can also try AVS
first, and take your time. That way you won't waste your 30 days
evaluating stuff included in AVS, and can focus on the HIPS stuff
included with KAV, but not AVS --- Web AV, PDM, etc.

Just don't install the AOL Security Toolbar. Uncheck the box during
the installation. Before you install any version of KAV, see Don's
sticky about removing other AVs.

BTW, MP2 (Maintenance Pack 2) is slated for release at the end of this
month. This will make KIS/KAV compatible with Vista. I don't know if
MP2 will be implemented into AVS, as that probably depends on who is
paying the bills (AOL).
