    why no replies

Hello, I ask this in genuine search of understanding/learning.

I posted a question earlier in this group (subject atdmt, posted 20-1-07)
    and had absolutely no replies.

Was this because of the way i composed the question, the subject matter or
    what?

Or just one of those days?

    All of the above.
    None of the above.
Possibly the post never made it to some servers.
    Possibly nobody knew the answer.

    (I didn't, for one).

I never noticed the post. I have now... ;-)

Anyway, my hosts file (updated 16th January) contains a dozen "atdmt.com"
entries including the one you listed, and I can access EBay. I really have
no idea why it should be blocking you.

The host file blocks access to anything associated with the domain
xyzetc.admt.com - that doesn't mean that it's the name of a type of malware
or spyware; it means that the domain(s) are listed as either "suspect" or
possibly complicit in downloading spyware, or (in this case) primarily
    concerned with advertising.

The entries in the hosts file should block the ads and/or associated
tracking cookies, not the page that actually hosts the ads.

The subject heading was not very informative. Most people would not even
    open the post.

Try again with a more descriptive rather than cryptic subject heading.

    Cheers,
    Rusty

Out of curiosity, I looked it up. Your story checks out,
but I have no clue what the answer might be.
