    Funny DOS box

I've been using Spybot for many years. Just recently, after I
download an up date and close Spybot, I get a DOS box for just a
couple of seconds and then Spybot re-loads itself. Anyone have any
    idea what is happening?

    Thanks

    Henry

It appears to be a auto-command-line command closing and opening of the
program, likely due to a program update itself, which required a restart
of the .exe, or one of its modules. Looked legitimate to me. You
shouldn't see it again (unless of course they update another program
    part <g>).

The update program is probably a console mode application as opposed to
a GUI application. What you are seeing is the console open and close as
the update program runs. I use AVG free edition, and their updates
quite often open and close console mode programs to perform the updates.

Thanks, guys. I have seen it twice now and kind of wondered what it
    was.

I'm sure you're right. I've seen this happen many times over the years, but
not after every update of course.

    Cheers,
