    Anyone in here know of...

I'm looking for a text editor that will find all instances of search
string in a document and highlight them all at the same time, so I can
scroll through the document and glance at them on the way by.

Have any of you seen one like that?

gVim will do it, but it has some "features" that make it less suitable
for my particular use. I'm not asking for a bunch of research, just
want to know if any of you have seen one that does this specific
    thing.

Tried that one. The one I downloaded doesn't highlight the search
string, it puts a marker at the beginning of the line the word is on.

    Thanks for the note though.

What is your f*****g problem? Are taking on the job of the pcbutts1
dedicated trol? Or could you just not wait to jump into the thread and
hijack it for you own use?

If you are the damned cure you are much worse than the disease.

Try buying yourself a life of your own instead of trying to suck the
    juice out of pcbutts1's fantasy.

Notepad++ seems to be able to do it. This is not its default
    behaviour, but
in the Find dialog box, you can tell it to "style found token" to get
    the
behaviour you are looking. It is open source and free.

Thanks for the tip and the link. I'll give it a try.

Yeh, I'm a Texas redneck, but not a complete masochist.

    Thanks again,
