ot - kinda - download source for fonts....

    hello all,

for a long time i have discouraged my 12 and 15 year old girls from
downloading fonts and emoticons because of the potential risk of
installing viruses, spyware, malware or adware.

there has now came a need for new fonts to be used with somethings they
are working on. the youngest ask me this morning about downloading and
installing additional fonts on my two systems here at home.

does anyone here know of a reputable web site to download free fonts from?

i know this is off topic, but any pointers to a download site would be
    greatly appreciated.

Assuming that you are using a Microsoft OS, you can try
    http://www.microsoft.com/typography/default.mspx, there are links to
    other vendors there as well.

    Bob,

    1) A couple of links:

    Pricelessware

    http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/

    List of Lists

    http://lists.thedatalist.com/

Note that maintenance of The List of Lists has been discontinued. Bummer.

    2) Or get rid of your daughters. My wife and I did. Now they are their
    husbands' problems.

    Ron
