    Gone Phishing!

Is there any place where phishing reports can be sent to try to shut down
these people? Their email addresses are almost always bogus, but they
generally do have a website address which could be located, I would think and
    action taken against them.

Determine the sending email server for the email messages and file a report
    - if the original senders address is available send an abuse report to the
    ISP for that address too.

Determine the host owner of the offending site and file a report of
    criminal activity.

Determine the owner of the IP address for the web site and file a report of
    criminal activity

Perform a traceroute on the web site ip address and send abuse reports to
    all upstream providers.

Determine who owns the Web Site's Name Servers and file abuse reports with
    them.

An easy set of tools to find most of this is http://www.dnsstuff.com

You might also want to file a complaint with the federal guvmunt

    http://onguardonline.gov/filecomplaint.html

If the Phish site is using images pulled from your site you can also
replace those images with warning messages.

I forgot to add that, depending on the size of the hosts listed above,
calling the abuse departments (send the abuse complaint first) will often
time bring about a quicker response.

Thanks for the reply. I will be doing that for my own use, but I was hoping
that there might be a central clearing house that I could refer people to so
that all they would have to do would be to forwared the offending email
    message.

    Again, thanks

    Use http://onguardonline.gov/filecomplaint.html
and have them report the Phish to their local police. Forwarding the email
(with complete headers) to the entity being Phished is also a good idea.
Most companies have an abuse@somecompany.netcomorwhatever address.
