    PCI Express issues

    I have just bought a 256mb grapgics card that is PCI Express x16.
    When I bought this card I thought that my PC would have a standard PCI Express slot and it would fit. As usual with computers it does not.
    How can I tell what type my PCI Express slot is? (I cannot find the manual that came with my compter!
