    OT : NOD or Kaspersky?

A little OT for this group, but just looking for a quick answer from the
    'experts' herein.

Have been using NOD32 for a couple of years now, trouble free. Time for
renewal is approaching, and I'm wondering if I should make the switch to
Kaspersky - no reason behind the thought, just felt a change was perhaps
    due.

    Opinions?

I run and like NOD32 very much.
You might find the below interesting, though KAV is an excellent A-V client.

    Then why change?

I happen to use both here, on separate machines, both execellent. But
you'll usually get the offer of a good price from Eset when renewal comes
up.They had an excellent time limited offer for existing users just last
week, you may still be lucky.

    Silj,

Thanks for the info and pointer. I have NOD32 on an older machine,
and Symantec on a recent purchase. There is no question that when the
AV subscription expires, I will buy NOD32 for the newer machine. It
has a much lighter footprint on computing resources, and works at
    least as well.

As it happens, I'm sticking with NOD32, but thanks for the replies
    folks.

    Alan,
You could dump Norton straight away and replace your A-V with NOD.

It was emailed to me, by Eset, as an existing user, an contained a
personalised clickable link. The offer was limited to existing users and
expires at the end of this month. If you're already a user you should have
been mailed already. Why not contact them direct with your licence details
if you're interested and have heard nothing?

    Cheers,

BTW if you're a student, you get a real nice discount.
I use NOD32 because it's so light on resources, (and rates highly. )
