    VXIDL in System restore files

    Windows Defender found this in a system restore file of about a month ago.
    No other programme found it in previous scans - I scan regularly with up to
    date Norton 2006 AV, SpyBot and AdAware. Is this likely to be a false
    positive?

    (The message said VXIDL found in C:\System Volume
    Information\_restore{B37680B2-BA0A-4E5D-BF30-83E44C588624}\RP730\A0123104exe->(CryptFF)
    )

    Thanks

    Disable the System Restore cache.

    Reboot the PC and re-enable the System Restore cache then manually create a new Restore
    point.
