Networking/Security Question

I have a wireless internet router in my house. My wife connects directly to
it, and I connect via a wireless network card.

1) Is there any device she can install on her computer to monitor websites I
am visiting on my computer...?
2) If so, what can I do to detect whether or not she is doing this...?

You have more problems than can be answered in a technical discussion about
computers.

1) There are network sniffer programs that can do this. Whoever is using the
program would have to be able to decode TCP/IP communications and spend a
lot of time doing this. It would be much easier to surreptitiously install a
keylogger or something similar on your computer.

2) Ask her.

She could install a router logging utility like WallWatcher and monitor the
traffic that flows back and forth through the router. If she is technically
savvy and could read the logs that would be one way. To prevent this you
could log in to the router and turn off the logging function.

You probably have more to worry about from your neighbors, or that car
parked out in front of your house.

"Ask her" is the right answer.
