Why does SuperAntiSpyware have to start with Windows start-up?

It seems that the free edition of SuperAntiSpyware (an app I really
like) always automatically starts at boot-up even though I've
previously disabled it from doing so.

Since the free edition does NOT offer real-time protection why does
it have to start at boot-up anyway?

Is there any way to permanently disable it from doing so?

Click on preferences and untick "start superantispyware...."

g'day,

mine doesn't so that anymore, i went into sas setup and there is an
option there to uncheck the open at start uip, i tried doing that from
the xp msconfig but the program over rides that apparently.

SUPERAntiSpyware does not override MSConfig, etc. - do you have any
other security applications that would block us from removing our
startup key from the registry? Did you by chance place a short cut in
your Startup group?

"No" to both queries -- but it was a simple matter to disable the
SUPERAntiSpyware starting up with Windows in any case, and the
problem's solved. Thanks.
