    Ad-aware, Spybot and Windows Defender

    Ad-aware, Spybot and Windows Defender

I am using these three "free" programs, but none of them could detect
the "trojans" which were detected McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise (MASE).

Are the "free" edition of these program less effective than the "paid"
    ones?

    Any comments/suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    A Monk

No. There are so many trojans out with hundreds more per day that it's
impossible for all apps to keep up. Just consider yourself lucky that one
did, considering the likelyhood of unsafe hex your practicing...

    Dustin,

Would it be difficult to add a new option to Bug Hunter? As one of the
scanning options, how about "Scan for malware and prompt for Remove, Rename,
    or Ignore."

    BugHunter v1.9.4 Released October 13th, 2006

    1. Gui Update: New selection, D- allows you to select
what happens to files that are detected as malware
on a file by file basis.

    Already done
