    Moved servers to eliminate 1

I was moving tons of things around the other night to enable the ability to cancel one of my servers to reduce costs and it looks like some things happened with this site. They are now fixed. Cauzomb sent me a message about the problem last night and I fixed it as soon as I could.

looks like I just overloaded the MySQL server LOL have the hard drives pretty much filled up too! I've found a place where I can get 2 servers both with dual core CPU's for the same price as this single server so I'm probably going to migrate over to that.

Looks like I fixed the problem that was occuring earlier. Server loads are actually pretty decent right now. I've trimmed some things that were using "persistant connections" to the MySQL DB and that seems to have solved the problems. Basically it was a 32 bit addressing limitation. The new boxes will be 64bit.

Well these 2* 2.8Ghz Xeon's with HT we're running on
are pretty sweet CPU's but at this time even a couple of dual core 3800/4200 AMD CPU's should be able to outperform this current box. we'll be moving to SATA hard drives but we'll have 4 of them instead of the 3 SCSI drives. we'll move up from 3 *73Gb storage clear up to 1.5Tb area.

I'm setting up a pretty big media server project currently that'll need added storage and bandwidth.

I will also be doing a decent amount of video encoded/processing on the SERVER end so these AMD CPU's will really rock for that kind of thing.
