Spyware and NOD32?

Does the current version of NOD32 protect against spyware?
I have read conflicting information.

Reviews constantly say just against virus protection; but Eset has on their
web site:
"A solid anti-malware offering, protecting against viruses, worms, spyware
and adware." What are they talking about?

In our testing and use of NOD32 in our labs, it does very well against
virus type infections, and not quite as well against
spyware/malware/adware, etc. - this makes sense as their primary focus
is Viruses.

I would suggest running another anti-spyware solution along with NOD32
as no single product can product against every infection, every day.
SUPERAntiSpyware works well with NOD32 and we have many of our
customers/users running the two together.

Just let you know, i had a smitfraud variant a couple of days ago that would
crash superantispyware whenever it tried to update. It was a canny little
monster, as it wouldnt allow the install of avg or the running of the batch
files within smitrem.......

Got around the problem, and eventually was able to update
superantispyware.....

Does superantispyware slow the machine down noticeably?? One reason I bought
NOD32 was its small footprint yet excellent performance.

system. You can try it yourself and see - we have been very careful to
keep SUPERAntiSpyware light.

Wow, from what I read it is very low in resource consumption! Super!!!!
Most sites recommend Spy Sweeper however, but that is not the final word for
me.
Can you point to a single major objective site in which SUPERAntiSpyware
rates highly? If so, I'll easily buy it for two years.

Pete - unfortunately there really is no "objective" site that can say
one product is "better" than another - the reason I say that is, no
single anti-spyware/malware/adware application can catch everything on
a given day - it just isn't possible. The number of zero-day (new)
threats that are coming out is mind boggling - we receive and harvest
literally thousands of samples per day/week.

trusted/recommended applications list here:

If you search the forums (CastleCops, Wilders, Spyware Warrior) you

We are an agile and focused company and do near daily definition
updates to try and stay on top of the latest threats.

You can always download the product and try it for a while, and if you
decide to upgrade to the Professional, then great, if not, enjoy the
Free Edition!

I dont notice any footprint, but then the resident scanner isnt functional
in the free version.
