    Hello:

If you're concerned about outbound filtering then you should go with a paid
version of software firewall. Otherwise the Windows Firewall (SP2) appears
    to be sufficiently adequate.

    Analyse this:

    Good luck

You would be better off to go buy a router with built in firewall.

No need to take a gratuitous shot at Outhouse Express. I've used it
for years with no problems, or with not many anyway. First thing, go
in and turn off all the "neat" things Microsoft thinks you should let
it do, like reading html messages and automatically downloading
messages and the lower pane, that kind of crap.

I guess if I had to be honest, I wouldn't use it either if I didn't
already have years invested in learning some of it's tricks and how to
    make it stop doing them.
Besides, I have a newsgroup folder with thirty-three thousand saved
messages and I doubt I could find anything else to import them into.

As for Zone Alarm, it's crap, for me anyway.

Or get a cheap router, they don't require nearly as many updates.
