When I use Spybot there are a number of problems that are not fixed. What
can I do about these?
Thanks.

You may want to try running Spybot Search & Destroy in safe mode.
Sometimes that helps get rid of the more stubborn ones.

Hi David G.,
rest assured, Nick of SuperAntiSpyware is an expert! Any advice received
from him can be considered of excellent quality, (I know!).

You snipped my entire reply.
If the OP so chooses, he may use whatever answers given on this
topic within the NG - I was only suggesting the OP go to SpyBot.
**Nothing more, nothing less.**
Nick has every right to post queries here as, _I_ do.
I am not saying that Nick is *not* an expert, where you got that from
escapes me entirely.

And where, may I ask, did I suggest what you are implying?
Where did I mention that *you* were saying that Nick is *not* and expert?
The purpose of post was to give DG a sense of comfort and easiness as he may
have drafted a response to Nick already.
I reiterate, advice received from Nick is reliable and of high quality!
His support to the newsgroup community is admirable.
Now, what's wrong with that assertion
I can't control the way you interpret the facts or circumstances that
surround a particular situation nor can I influence the way you are
perceiving written communications.

I have just erased Spybot from all my computers. After three years I believe
I can say that it is very weak compared to SuperAntispyware, AVGAntiSpy and
CounterSpy, which are my preferred AS progs.

How would you compare CounterSpy and AVG AntiSpy? I am
particularly concerned with low resource usage.
For some reason SAS wont operate properly on my portable and
I am forced to look at the above two programs.
Thanks.

I use both of them but I believe CounterSpy uses the most resources. If I
need more power and I am not on line I switch them both off.
There is a good little program free called 'EnditAll' which will free up
resources if you need to and they will all come back when you re-boot. I
find it most helpful when I need to run my Flight Simulator, which takles
every bit of power I can throw at it.
http://www.pcmedixwebs.com/enditall.htm
is one place where you can download it.
