DC++ prevents surfing?

Hi..

I have 1024kb ADSL connection, and recently I have a strange problem. When I'm downloading stuff with DC++ (I'm an active user), I can't connect to any pages, my browsers (Opera, Firefox, IE) don't work at all... For example, Firefox says "Connection was reset" all the time... Although DC++ continues to download, I can't surf on the internet. And when I close DC++, everything is fine... Can anyone know the reason for this?

My guess is it's a problem with their software; I would search their site for a FAQ or contact their customer service to see if anyone else had or is having this same problem.
