| If one's ISP is a cable broadband connection, and it's a standalone
| computer with the TCP/IP service disabled, what properties are mandatory in
| the local connection? I just see "client for MS networks" listed and
| enabled. Can I uncheck it and delete it?
|
If TCP/IP is disabled... You can't communicate on the Internet !
The simplist and *BEST* way to increase your security is to use a Cable/DSL Router such as
the Linksys BEFSR41 or a Cable/DSL Router with a full FireWall implementation.
