C'mon Dave, you're offering a specious argument simply to
accommodate insouciance.
And I'm not being pedantic... you and I both know that
disabling one's firewall-- for whatever reason-- is not good
practice. My opinion holds that advising the less-informed to
do so, only serves to foster an erroneous impression.
Let me suggest that you revert back to offering common
sense instructions, then take the time and effort to inform
those whom you find "clueless", as opposed to simply
exacerbating ignorance as a matter of convenience...
