WMP 10 wont recognize my CD-RW

My D drive, as it is on my PC, has the following tabs in the properties:

General, Autoplay & Hardware. Maybe it isn't being recognized, but if not, why? It used to work...

Have you tried uninstalling the drive and letting Windows redetect it?

Yes. It's been reinstalled, and that didn't fix the problem. The drive will play CDs and WMP will RIP from it, but it doesn't see it as a RW drive. But it's the same one I always used with WMP 10 before. I also had this problem before once, and I got help and fixed it. But that thread is gone from IANAG now, and I can't remember what worked.
