I don't know, to be quite honest. We unplugged it. We plugged it back in. It didn't work after that, and my fiance called HP for support. They helped him get the computer to at least detect the drive, but I'm still left with this problem. But my computer isn't an HP. My fiance's is...

Anyway, any ideas how to fix it?

My fiance just told me that the tech at HP had him go into the registry and remove the upper and lower values, leaving only CD-R. I don't know any more than that. Sorry.

    or

    download and run cdgone.zip

either method should take care of the upper/lower limits
