AVG 7.5 Beta supported W98. See:

I haven't found a confirmation that the post beta full system supports
W98, but I think it is reasonable to assume that it does.
I am using it with W98SE.

I just tried to install AVG anti-spyware (7.5.0.50) but it refused to
install saying Win 2K and XP only!

I think this thread has been talking about AVG Anti-virus, not
Anti-spyware. I assumed that the thread was referring to Anti-virus in
my earlier post.

AVG website says AVG Anti-spyware does not run on W98/Me/NT, just
W2000/XP.

I am running W98 SE with AVG Anti-virus (free), Help About says Program
version: 7.5.428.

Yes, I was talking about AVG (free) 7.5.428.
AVG Anti-spyware won't run under 98SE.
