Yes. I posted this very same article to
microsoft.public.security.virus
only to receive a less-than-warm reply/comment.
I guess some of us are just not smart enough to make the "cut" and thus
need not contribute.

I replied to you..
"Nothing really new here.
Vundo Trojans can install WinAntivirus Pro which is a Rogue."
Did you want a hug and a medal for your post ?
There isn't anything new about malware installing so-called anti malware utilities. Spyware
Warrior is full of Rogues that have been installed this way.

Let's get into it.
You are a smug and arrogant poster who feels they own this ng along with
your select group of friends and defenders.
As I offered this post for information, your reply was non-sequitur and
thus not needed nor did it offer any value.
I do not think you would want to compare brain pans with me.

Actually it is your attitude that sucks. I merely stated the fact that there is nothing new
in the concept of malware downloading faux anti malware utilities. Smug ? Obviously you
don't want to discuss this subject matter. You think that because you posted a an EWeek
article you should receive a prize or something. Hardly. If anything my answer should have
evoked questions about what other malware has done this in the past besides the Vundo.
Instead, you ignored my response in the MS Virus NG and say here that you got a
"less-than-warm reply/comment".
I think you need to check that attitude problem YOU are exibiting.

Bah. I assert my previous comments as true.
Others may now feel empowered to agree.
