It's not a forgery, Kurt, but a froggery. Consider yourself lucky.
I have a kook* who opened the gmail account rhondaleakirk@gmail.com and
he goes around posting obscene content in my name.
Froggeries aren't intended to fool anyone, although there are hopelessly
stupid posters who can't tell the difference.
(*I believe that it's Chuck Lysaght, but there are others who think it
might be Dustin.)

Unfortunately for the person perpetuating this particular troll,
identity theft is a crime, and the forger's use of the gmail account
rhondaleakirk@gmail.com meets the legal definition for identity theft.
Because Google has not moved quickly on closing this account, I am
filing a
complaint with the FTC.

Is your name unique, is your name a registered trademark, is your name
copywrited? No it is not. You are wasting your time. Why do you think Nick
could do nothing to stop me from naming a file superantispyware.

The same rules do not apply to people that apply to trade names.
And in this situation, the use of my name fits the *legal definition* of
identity theft.
There are a lot of other things that could have been done to frog me,
and all of those would have been fine. The particular method employed
here is not a froggery--which is, IMO, acceptable--but an outright
forgery.
There is no other "Rhonda Lea Kirk" who posts to usenet. And there are
very, very few Rhonda Lea Kirks--far fewer than 10--in the world. For
that reason, we occasionally get each other's mail. I'm sure that none
of them will be pleased about this, if it comes to that.
So I don't think I'm wasting my time at all.

Just acknowledging pcbutthead's existence could be considered wasting your
time.
