I was checking my system out using autoruns and found a shell hook for
SuperAntispyware sasseh.dll I do have the free version of SuperAntiSpyware
but it doesn't do ad blocking why the shell hook?

understand that you're a frequent post to
alt.losers.who.speak.chatspeak, but to those of us who prefer English,
that makes no sense.

I was using a program called "Autoruns" that checks system processes. I
noticed a shell hook using a dll called "sasseh.dll". That dll is for
SuperAntiSpyware and is used for ad-blocking. I have the free version of
SuperAntiSpyware which does not contain the ad-blocking feature. So
hence the question, "Why would I have the shell hook/dll?"
I apologize if my grammar or punctuation has offended you muffinman (is
that your birth name?). I try to run my posts through spell check and
have a couple of copy editors check them to make sure that they are
grammatically correct, but I guess I just got lazy. By the way, how do
you top post? My newsreader automatically puts my quotes at the bottom.

Brian - Shell Execute Hooks are typically used to "trap" or "monitor"
items executed through the Windows Shell (usually Explorer).
SUPERAntiSpyware and SUPERAdBlocker both use Shell Execute Hooks for
part of the real-time blocking and monitoring of processes
created/executed through the shell.

I can't go into the specific ways we use these due to the proprietary
nature, but they are used for both the Free Edition and Professional
Edition of SUPERAntiSpyware. They do play a roll in removing and
blocking some of the nastier infections.
