    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! LMFARO at you, Bullis.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You ****witted ****, Bullis. "about:blank" is a variant
of CoolWebSearch. ****ing with the registry isn't going to remove it, nor is
clearing the browser cache, and a ****ing firewall isn't going to prevent
CoolWebSearch and its variants getting onto the system. You are one utterly
    ****witted nincompoop, Bullis.

It *recommends* not using About:blank as your default IE page,
but only deletes it if you have configured it to automagically
delete items on their "exploitable potential" list. It is not
treated as a spyware item, just as something that could be used
by spyware. Used to drive me crazy when I was using Spybot S&D,
since the version I used had no way to "white list" things like
this, so it came up with "Danger!, Danger!, Will Robinson,
Danger!" on About:blank every time I did a scan.
