Delete the definitions file, and restart the updater. On my WinXP box,
that file is:

C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\defs.ref

I also got rid of the Authenticity Checker (AAWV.dll). That thing had
become a bigger PITA than it is worth. If my def file gets hacked, one
of my other 10 zillion security apps should alert me. I hope.

BTW, if you are leary of deleting these files, move them to this
directory after you create it.

C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Temp
