I think perhaps you are making a mountain out of a molehill.
I didn't like the LaunchPad. I thought it was a pain in the ass, and I
stopped using the associated product as a result. Still, the product I
continue to use (one for which I have paid), is excellent. And the free
products just continue to get better.
If one removes a feature, I'd say that's a pretty substantive admission
that it was not a good feature. Were you hoping for a press release and
a mea culpa? If so, I think you're asking too much.
I'm really more interested in the fact that Comodo listens to the users
of its (free) products and accomodates their needs. Positive action
speaks a whole lot more loudly than apologies, IMO.
