From my perspective they did.

I'm not disputing that at all. What I'm saying is that the Launchpad
addition to their product did more harm to them the they are
apparently willing to admit. There have been enough testimonials to
satisfy me that Comodo has very good products, but if they can't admit
to making a mistake with Launchpad, that just puts me (and I would
suspect many other people) off.
