****s with proxy settings so i had no net. Tried to reinstall TCIP no
option to uninstall or install

Could have just uninstalled it from waht i read. But not sure if that
would have worked. In the Add Remove hardware section. Anyway i know
what program has it so ITS GONE never to be downloaded or seen again.


Anyone else have horrow stories.

No need for a reinstall (I know to late) your Winsock was damaged
I usually run both both programs LSP first then Winsockxpfix
'cause I'm anal retentive

You can even take and delete the Winsock in the registry and run
Winsockxpfix. (then you can be sure the Winsock is clean) ...
