    Abit A9N

I'm looking at one of these boards to do some upgrading to my system. Anyone have one of these or any of the Fatal1ty line of boards? Good/Bad?

From what I've read about other Fatal1ty mobo's, you get the same performance from the next step down for $20-$50 less.

I've been a fan of their nforce2 NF7s They have been building some crazy overclocking boards but it seams like all of the early xp socket's require voltmods to get above 2.5ghz not sure where the 939's top out before needing a voltmod... Why not go core duo? e6600? they are fast. Drivers haven has a review of the abit fatality http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/abit_mem/abit1.htm the comment about the lightshow was worth clicking through the ram reviews.

You decide on a mobo yet??

I'm holding off for the 4x4 arrangements later this year. My DFI Lanparty NF2 Ultra-B is getting a lil long in the tooth. ...even with it OC'd to 2600mhz.

Yes I have; the ABIT isn't what I need for the config I want to build (I don't need SLI). I'm going with a TYAN n3400b (S2924) as I need a PCI-E slot with an 8x signal for This

My next jump will be to a dual or quad Opteron board.

I also recently purchased this board in a local freight auction and the case is damaged so I have to remove the board from it.

    It is a barebones rackmount.

I should resell it but I am tempted to keep it.

    Anyone got 4 Opteron 64, socket 940, 800 series CPU's lying around?
