    Ad-aware SE v1.05 fully updated.

    1) Download the following item...

    Adaware SE (Free personal version)
    http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

    2) Update Adaware with latest definitions.
    3) If you are using WinME or WinXP, disable System Restore
    http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDoc...SysRestore.htm
    4) Reboot your PC into Safe Mode
    5) Using Adaware SE, perform a Full Scan of your platform and clean/delete
    any parasites found.
    6) Restart your PC and perform a "final" Full Scan of your platform using Adaware
    7) If you are using WinME or WinXP,Re-enable System Restore and re-apply any
System Restore preferences, (e.g. HD space to use suggested 400 ~ 600MB),
    8) Reboot your PC.
    9) If you are using WinME or WinXP, create a new Restore point

My mistake. On further examination this is not a virus at all but a
false alarm on the behalf of numerous vendors including NOD32, McAfee,
Kaspersky to name but a few. Obviously the uninstaller contains
strings also contained by the malware it is intended to remove.

McAfee flags it as Adware so I would trongly suggest NOT using the LOP un-installer. You
really can't trust all non-viral malware writers to create un-installers. It is best to use
    anti malware tools.

I keep that file on a Utility CD I use when cleaning up other people's
computers. Every time I put the CD in a computer with McAfee in it, it
detects it. But from my experience, it really *is* the fastest way to get
    rid of lop.
Incidentally, I had to go to one of my old beater computers to download
it. Lop.com is blocked on my two main ones.
